Shopping Bag Skit
Provide teen girls with one of their favorite items: a full shopping bag. Ask each girl to select a partner or have them draw for partners. Give each partner group with a shopping back five to seven items, such as shoes, a dress or sunglasses. Include a few funny or odd items, such as a girdle, bra or thermal underwear. Shop resale stores for inexpensive items to fill the bags. Make each bag different and include items from different decades, such as 1970s bell-bottom jeans. Send the teams to different rooms to create a skit, including all the items in the bag. Set the rules, such as all items must be mentioned and shown, but don't have to be worn. Party guests can create a skit, song, commercial or music video. Give the teams about 20 minutes to work and monitor their progress. Allow extra time if needed. Perform the skits. Award a small prize to the most creative or funny skit.
Design Pillowcases
Design pillowcases to remember the sleepover. Purchase white pillowcases or a light color matching the party décor. Pickup a few packages of dye crayons from the local craft store. Using dye crayons do not require drying, but can easily be sealed with a hot iron, allowing party guests to sleep on their pillowcase that evening. Follow the directions on the package of dye crayons regarding covering the surface and sealing. Dig through you craft bin and pull out stencils or cookie cutters for the guests to trace. Ask them to write their name on the pillowcase, or consider having all guests write a message on the birthday girl's pillowcase.
Makeovers
Encourage the girls to give each other makeovers; however, add a twist to the makeover process. Ask the girls to draw numbers to determine the order of makeovers. The girl who draws number one completes the makeover for number two, and number two completes makeover number three and so on. Before starting the makeover, place a blindfold over number one's eyes. This will create lots of laughs and funny pictures. No makeover is complete without nail polish. Put several bottles of nail polish in the center circle of girls. Have the birthday girl spin the bottle. When the bottle is done spinning, whomever the cap is pointing to the spinner must paint one nail of that person using the nail polish. The girl with the newly painted nail spins the next bottle of nail polish and paints one nail of the person it points to and so on.
