Two Truths &a Dream
The Two Truths and a Dream game is good for the group to learn more about one another. Place the group of party guests in a circle. Separate into two or more circles, if the party has a large number of guests.
The first person will state two truthful statements and a statement that is a dream, wish or hope. The objective of the game is for the group to ask the person questions to find out which statements are truthful and which one is the dream.
Big Wind Blows
The Big Wind Blows party icebreaker game is a variation of musical chairs. Form a circle of chairs, with one fewer chair than people in the group. For example, if you have a group of 10 party guests, form a circle of 9 chairs. Have one guest stand in the center of the circle. The remaining guests sit in the chairs.
The person in the center of the circle slowly turns around in place in a circle. This person states a truthful statement. Everyone who the statement applies to must get out of his chair and find a new chair that isn't adjacent to his current seat. The person in the center must find a chair as well.
For example, the center play would say: "The big wind blows for everyone who owns a dog." The player left without a chair becomes the new person in the center of the circle. The statement has to be truthful for the person making it. Repeat the rounds for a specific amount of time.
Human Clay
The Human Clay party icebreaker game is a way to allow the group to express themselves and relax with one another. Write a list of 10 to 15 possible events, songs or movie scenes prior to the party. For example, include standing in a crowded elevator, spilling milk in the grocery aisle, a horror movie victim or eating at an inaugural dinner table.
Place the group in an area of the home that has room to move around. Select one item from the list. Make a pose that fits the item description. Allow the group to see you make the pose. Call out the next item on the list. Everyone in the group forms a pose for the item. Remind the group there are no right or wrong poses.
Allow party guests to form poses together, if the item is one that would require more than one person to form the pose.
