Set Up
Games are played with either two or four players. If it is two players, they are against each other. If it is four, teams of two play against each other. Use a chalkboard, dry-erase board or notepad to create a nine-inning scorecard.
Identification
The baseball dart board is designed like a baseball diamond. There are sections for Strike, Ball, Hit, Foul, Out, Sacrifice, Stolen Base, Single, Double and Triple. The center red dot is an automatic three outs while the surrounding area is an automatic hit.
Playing
The first player throws the set of darts. Four balls equals a walk and three strikes equals an out. The count is reset any time the dart lands on another area like Hit, Double or Home run. Players keep track of who is on base and any runs scored. The turn is over after three outs are made.
Turns
If a dart misses the board, it is ruled a ball. Fouls are counted as strikes, but they cannot strike out a player. When playing with two players, they alternate turns with every five throws or when a batter gets out.
Considerations
If you only have a regular dart board, you can play a simple version of the game. During each inning, players get six throws to try and hit the section of the inning. For example, if it is the third inning, players aim for the "3" section. Every dart in the section counts as a run. Whoever has the most runs wins at the end of nine innings.
