Clean Your Room

• This is a game that can be played with any number of guests. The main ingredient you need is to have an area of separation such as a fence or even a blanket strewn over a clothesline strung between two trees. Fill up twice the number of socks as you have players with rice and beans (halfway full) and give every girl two socks each. Divide the group into two teams, one on either side of the barrier. As soon as you yell, "Go!" have the girls toss the socks over the divider back and forth in order to clean their rooms. They may pick up ones flung at them and send them back over the divider but the moment you yell, "Stop!" they must quit what they are doing and count the number of socks on either side of the barrier. The team with the "cleanest" room (least number of socks) wins.

The Mummy

• This camera-worthy game will delight the girls and is played in teams of two. Each team receives one roll of toilet paper; one girl will be the wrapper and the other will stand stock still as the mummy. On the word "Go!" all teams will attempt to wrap their mummy with the single roll of toilet paper covering every part of their teammate's head and body (except for the nose). The first girl who manages to cover her mummy completely wins. You can switch off the team roles and play this a second time so everyone gets the chance to be both the mummy and the wrapper.

Treasure Hunt

• What girl can resist a treasure hunt? This game can keep girls occupied for hours depending upon the level of difficulty you choose and the number of clues you present. You will need a treasure chest (a decorated box with a lid or a small container to hold the prizes in), a prize for each child (play jewelry items are perfect) and a list of color-coded clues for each team.
  Hide both sets of colored clues in the house or backyard with each team cautioned only to retrieve the clues that match their team color. Hide the treasure chest in a clever spot they are not likely to find until they get to the end of their set of clues. Each team must work together to find the clues and solve the mystery; the first team to arrive at the treasure chest gets to choose one item each from the booty. The losing team may choose as well once they are finished.
