Nail Painting Games for Kids

There's nothing like getting to paint your nails zany colors when you are a little kid. Girls love to express themselves through fun nail polish colors such as bright pink, sparkle green or vibrant orange. Try one of these fun nail painting games with your daughter and her friends at her next sleepover. Make sure the girls' parents agree to let their daughters get their nails painted too.
  1. Blind Painting Game

    • It's hard enough to paint your nails with your eyes open, but how about with them closed? Treat the girls to a fun game where they must paint their friend's nails while blindfolded. The polish may look crazy and may not land on the nail, but they'll have fun doing it.

Find as many different colored nail polishes as possible and a scarf or bandanna for the blindfold. Ask one girl to pretend to be a customer, select three of her favorite nail polishes and ask her to choose her manicurist. Set the nail polishes next to the customer and blindfold the manicurist. Lead the manicurist over to her nail painting station and let her do her thing. She must choose the nail polish and polish the customer's nails while blindfolded. She'll figure out if she's doing a good job from the squeals and laughter coming from the rest of the girls.

    Movie Nail Painting Game

    • This is an interactive way to let the kids watch their favorite movie and paint their nails. Find 10 bottles of different colored nail polish and your daughter's favorite movie. Assign each bottle of polish a number and a numbered list of phrases or words from the movie. Whenever a certain character in the movie says a particular word or phrase, the girls have to paint one of their nails the corresponding color. For example, if you are watching "Hannah Montana" and she says, "Sweet Niblets," which is phrase number one, the girls must paint their thumbnail with color number one. The next phrase means that that the girls must use the next color of nail polish for their index finger. By the end of the movie, everyone will have matching funky manicures.

Spin the Bottle for Nail Polish

    • Create a nail polish wheel that dictates which color you paint your nails. Put 10 nail polish bottles in a circle on the floor. Get a regular soda bottle and place it in the middle of the circle. Ask one girl to spin the bottle. She has to paint one nail whichever color nail polish it lands on. She can choose whichever nail she wants; even toenails. Another way to play is to allow the person who spins choose the girl who gets to paint her nail that color.
