Games to Play at Indoor Kids Parties

Having indoor parties is a great alternative to outdoor parties because you do not have to worry about the weather and there are a ton of fun things you can do inside, especially for kids. Three popular kids games for indoor parties are having a treasure hunt, Blind Man's Bluff and Guess What?
  1. Treasure Hunt

    • Kids love treasure hunts! Depending on the type of party you are having, hide related items around the house for kids to find. For example, if you are holding a birthday party, hide random party favors, toys and candy around the house. For the child with the most treasures found, give them a prize. Each child will keep their treasures at the end of the hunt. You can also create theme-related hunts. For example, a pirate-themed birthday party could have pirate-themed treasures.

    Blind Man's Bluff

    • Blind Man's Bluff is a great indoor party game for kids. Before you play, clear out a room with nothing dangerous that a child could run into or trip over. Choose one child to be "it" and place a bandanna over their eyes. Place that child in the middle of the room, spin him or her around and count to 20 while the other children hide. When you finish counting, everyone must stop and stay where they are hiding. The seeker calls out. "Blind man's ..." and hiders must call out "Bluff!" When the seeker finds a hider and touches them, they will be out. The first child to be tagged will be "it" for the next round. This game is fun because kids can change their voice and move their upper body to avoid being tagged.

    Guess What?

    • Guess What? is a relay game where you divide kids into two teams. One person from each team runs across the room to a sack of food wrapped in aluminum foil. They have to eat the first food they grab, then quickly run back to their team. The first team to eat all of the food from their respective sack and run back to the starting point wins.
Before starting the game, make sure each child has no food allergies to the foods you are using. You can make the game interesting by adding odd foods like onions and garlic.
