Games for Adult Birthday Parties

Games at an adult birthday party engage the guests with fun opportunities for entertainment. Party guests learn more about their fellow party goers through interactive games, whether they've known each other for years or met for the first time at the party. Consider the mix of personalities of the guests attending the party when selecting the games for an adult birthday party.
  1. Scavenger Hunt

    • Create a scavenger hunt for the adult birthday party. Develop a list of items for the guests to find. Decide if you wish the guests to stay at the party venue or if you want to add items to the list that will require the guests to go other places. Determine if guests will be required to retrieve the items or if the participants simply need to photograph themselves with the items on the list. Add a few items that are difficult to find to add a challenge to the scavenger hunt. Divide the guests into two or more teams, giving each team an identical list of items. Set a time limit for the scavenger hunt, having all teams return at the given time. Award a prize to the team that found the most items from the list.

    Safety Pin Search

    • Fill a bowl with dry rice. Add at least 50 safety pins to the bowl of rice, stirring them around to mix the pins throughout the rice. Blindfold the first contestant. Set a timer for 30 seconds, and have the first contestant dig through the rice, retrieving as many safety pins as possible. Record the number of safety pins retrieved and return them to the bowl. Repeat the process until everyone has had a chance to play. Award a prize to the person who retrieved the highest number of safety pins.

    Memory Tray

    • Place 15 to 20 unrelated items on a tray and cover it with a cloth. Choosing unrelated items makes this activity more challenging for the guests. Remove the cloth from the tray, allowing the guests to look over the items for 30 seconds. Cover the tray of items again. Have the guests write down as many items as they can remember, allowing two or three minutes for the guests to create their lists. Show each item that was on the tray, naming the person who remembered the most items as the winner.
