How to Pass an Orange Under the Chin

Some parties require "ice breakers" to introduce guests to each other and help them relax. This "Orange Under the Chin" game, although an old one popular after WWII, still makes people laugh and is cheap--both welcome attributes for any party.

Instructions

    • 1

Divide players into two teams. Have each team form a line.

    • 2

Tell players that they must keep their hands behind their backs. Place an orange under the chin of the first player on each team.

    • 3

Explain that when you say, "Ready, Set, Go," the first player in each line must turn to the second player in line. The second player must take the orange from the first player using only her chin and neck.

    • 4

If an orange drops to the floor, pick it up and place it under the chin of the first player, who must begin passing it again.

    • 5

Award prizes to the team that finishes passing the orange down the line first.
