How to Play Messy Dare Games

Dare games are great fun at parties, but just remember to play safe and to call it quits if it seems like the game is going too far. This version of "dare" can get pretty messy, so it's best to play it outside.

Instructions

  1. Set Up

    • 1

Mix up 4 boxes of chocolate pudding. Scoop half of the mixture into a large bowl and the other half onto a shallow cookie sheet. Place near the area where you will be playing.

    • 2

Mix 2 packages of lime green jello with enough water to make it extra runny. Pour into a large bowl and place near the area where you will be playing.

    • 3

Fill water balloons as full as possible without causing them to break. Place around the play area.

    • 4

Gather the rest of the items listed under the "Things You'll Need" section and place them around the play area.

    • 5

Create the dare cards. On blank index cards, write out the dares from Section 2 below.

    • 6

Get your friends together to play the game. As people arrive, give each player 3 or 4 water balloons to hold onto during the game.

    • 7

Have everyone sit in a circle. Begin by passing the deck of cards around the group. Each person should select one card then pass the deck to the next player. On their turn, each person should read the card out loud and then decide whether to take the dare printed on the card or allow the rest of the group to each throw one of their water balloons at them.

    Dares

    • 8

Eat chocolate pudding with your fingers. For this dare, use the ladle to scoop chocolate pudding from the bowl into a paper cup, filling it half full. The person must use their fingers to finish their cup of pudding. No sipping, pouring or drinking allowed!

    • 9

Stand in chocolate pudding for a minute. For this dare the person removes their shoes and socks and stands on the cookie sheet which is filled about an inch deep with chocolate pudding.

    • 10

Make an armpit PB and J. For this dare the person uses a butter knife to spread peanut butter under one armpit and jelly under the other. They should keep it there for at least 5 minutes.

    • 11

Spread mayo on the soles of your feet. For this dare the person must use the butter knife to cover the bottoms of their feet with mayo. They should keep it there for at least 5 minutes.

    • 12

Hold runny green jello for 5 minutes. For this dare someone should fill the players hands with the runny green jello, making sure they hold onto it for at least 5 minutes.

    • 13

Butter your tongue with ketchup and mustard. Using a clean butter knife the player should completely coat their tongue with a layer of ketchup followed by a layer of mustard.

    • 14

Take a shot of Tabasco or hot sauce. For this dare the person should drink about a tablespoon of Tabasco or hot sauce.

    • 15

Mix it up. You can come up with your own messy dares to add to the game. If you have more players you can switch things around. Have someone stand in the runny green jello, for instance, or hold the pudding in their hands. The only real rules for this game are that you have fun and keep it safe!
