Instructions

  1. How to Play the Alphabet Minute Game

    • 1

Pass out two slips of paper and a pen or pencil to each player. Instruct each player to write down a topic of conversation on one of the slips of paper and a letter of the alphabet on the other.

    • 2

Collect the slips of paper and put the conversation items in one bowl and the alphabet items in the other. Select a player to begin the round, and have that player draw one slip from each bowl and read the topic of conversation and the letter of the alphabet out loud.

    • 3

Instruct the selected player to begin a conversation regarding the topic drawn. The player may only say one sentence, and the first letter of the first word of that sentence must begin with the letter which was drawn. Each player must in turn continue the conversation beginning their sentence with a word that begins with the next letter in the alphabet.

    • 4

Play continues for 1 minute. The timekeeper will note how many letters of the alphabet the group used. Play then passes to the second team who repeat the process.

    • 5

Alternate the process between the teams until all players have drawn. The team with the most points after the final round is declared the winner.
