Squirt guns, water balloons and water wings are the norm for summer sightings-but organizing a Bring Your Own Big Wheel Race-that's not something you see in every neighborhood! Borrow ideas from the famous San Francisco event and personalize the day to make it a new tradition. Here are some ideas.

Things You'll Need

Big Wheels
Stickers, paint, glitter and craft supplies
Wigs, costumes, glasses and other costume elements
Safe place to roll like a park or school
Orange cones

  Scout a location for your event, like a park or school, and make sure you have permission to host your party there.

  Send an invitation outlining the details of the event and make sure you give plenty of notice before the event so guests have a chance to gather and pimp their ride and get their costumes together.

  Collect wigs, makeup, funny glasses and other costume elements for guests to add to their costumes and dress up in before the race.
