How to Get a Character Builder to Display a Skill Card

Wizards of the Coast created the Character Builder program to make building fourth edition characters easier. The original version of the program installed on your computer. Wizard's released a new, online-only version in 2010. When the new version was released, Wizards stopped supporting the old version. Subscribers who had already downloaded the older version can still use it, however. In the new, online version the power cards are displayed by default and cannot be removed. The offline builder allows the user to customize the cards that are displayed on the character sheet.

Instructions

    • 1

Unlock the panels on the character sheet. You can do this by opening the "Options" menu and selecting "Unlock Panels" or by clicking on the "Panels" padlock icon.

    • 2

Change which cards are visible on the sheet with the "Options" menu. Your options include "Show Power Card Pages," "Show Optional Cards," "Show Basic Attack Cards," "Show Normal Item Cards," "Show Item Set Info," "Show Blank Power Card Pages," "Show Customized Power Card Info" and "Show All Weapons for Power Cards." Click on each option to enable it. Enabled options will display a check-mark to the left of the option.

Right-click on a power card to adjust it. You can customize, duplicate or reset the power card from this menu. Selecting "Hide" will remove the card from the character sheet.

Display a previously hidden power card by opening the "Options" menu and selecting "Restore Hidden Power Cards."
