Singing
Preschools can be taught simple songs like Jesus Loves Me. After hearing the song on a record, DVD or CD recording, the teacher can sing the song along with the recording. When the children have heard the song a few times, they may be encouraged to sing it along with the teacher. Repeat the song over a few days to help the children learn it.
Acting out Bible Scenes
Read a Bible story from a children's Bible to the group of preschoolers, showing them scenes from the story as you read it. Afterward ask them basic questions about the story. Direct the children in acting out a scene from the story. For example, after reading the story about Jesus healing the lepers one child can be Jesus and a group of children can be the lepers. "Jesus" can touch the lepers on the shoulder one at a time and say "Be healed." The healed lepers can then jump up and say "praise God" and return to their seats.
Cartoons
Watching Bible cartoons provides a Christian alternative to watching regular cartoons. Show the children Veggitales cartoons or cartoons that more closely follow the Bible stories. These may be found on Amazon.com or on You Tube. Christian bookstores may also have their own children's DVDs.
Coloring and Hand Paints
Find coloring books with Bible scenes from a Christian book store, online or from a discount store. Have the children color pictures in the book using a variety of colors. The children may also do finger painting. Write a verse which the class has been memorizing on a large piece of poster board. Then have the children, one at a time, place the palms of their hands in their favorite paint color that has been placed in a small tray on a table. They then place their hands on the board, leaving two hand prints. Hang the poster board up on the wall for children and visitors to the class to see.
