How to Play Games With Makeup and Dolls

Fashion Show

  Gather all the dress-up clothing, shoes, accessories and makeup needed for the fashion show. You will need clothing, shoes, accessories and makeup for both the girls and the dolls.

  Set up a runway using a beach blanket or table runner for the prop. Add chairs to either side to sit additional dolls and spectators.

  Have each girl choose a doll to be her partner. The girl can pick out both of their outfits and then model them down the runway.

Makeovers

  Set up seats or chairs in front of a mirror. There should be a seat for each girl and/or doll.

  Set out makeover must-haves such as nail polish, lipstick, lip gloss and glitter. Then, according to the Kids Birthday Party Guide, let the girls do their hair and makeup. The girls can makeover themselves, each other and the dolls.

  Take before and after pictures of each girl and each doll to put in a scrapbook or frames for the end of the makeover reveals.

Tea Party

  Set up a child's size table with napkins, plates, tea cups (nonbreakable) and desserts such as tea cakes and small sandwiches.

  Set up a trunk or dress-up area with plenty of dress-up props such as lipstick, eye shadow, hats, boas, dresses, gloves and shoes.

  Let the girls choose their own ensembles and bring their favorite dolls to the tea party. Fisher-Price suggest letting the girls dress up like their favorite doll.

  Allow unstructured play, eating and drinking of tea so that the girls and their dolls can enjoy their afternoon tea party.
