How to Paint the Daemon Prince of Nurgle

The Daemon Prince of Nurgle is one of the many individual figures in the miniatures game of "WarHammer 40,000" by Games Workshop. In the game, collectors/players build figurine representations of their army and paint them before having a "war" with another player. The Daemon Prince of Nurgle figurine is a member of the Chaos Space Marine army set and is painted with traditional colors (purple, dark pink and silver) associated with the Nurgle faction.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay down a protective work area cover. Set the Daemon Prince of Nurgle figure in the middle of the work area. Point the nozzle of the base spray paint at the figure while holding the bottle 9 inches away from it.

    • 2

Press down on the spray bottle's top and coat the figure. Move slowly around the figure, never staying in one place for more than a second, to get an even coloring. Blot the figure to remove excess paint. Let the figure dry up to an hour until all the paint is no longer shiny and has a matte finish.

    • 3

Open the black and gun metal Games Workshop paints and stir each one with a separate brush. Remove the brush in the black paint and blot the brush on the work area or on a figure. Paint the armor of the Prince of Nurgle figure with the black paint evenly.

    • 4

Blot the silver brush in the same way as the black. Swiftly move the brush over the black armor, but very lightly to give a tarnished, brushed metal effect. Open the white paint and stir. Blot with a fresh brush and paint the eyes and horn of the figure white. Paint pupils onto the eyes with the black brush.
