How to Change Your Sims' Names

When playing Sims, it can be frustrating to have a Sim character with a name you do not like. Using a few simple cheat steps, you can easily change the name of any of your Sim characters to names you like. Follow these steps carefully to avoid making any mistakes. Within minutes, you can change your Sims̵7; names to new names.

Instructions

  Start the Sims game and begin playing with the family that contains a Sim or Sims with names you want to change. Make the Sim character active whose name you wish to change.

  Press ̶0;Control, Shift and C̶1; simultaneously to bring up the cheat box at the top of the screen.

  Enter ̶0;boolprop testingcheatsenabled true̶1; in the cheat box and press ̶0;Enter.̶1;

  Press the shift key while clicking on the Sim character. You will see a variety of actions appear around the Sim.

  Select the ̶0;Spawn̶1; action and then select ̶0;Tombstone of L and D.̶1; You will see a large tombstone appear next to the Sim.

  Click the Sim again and then click the tombstone. The Sim will walk over to the tombstone. Click ̶0;More̶1; and then click ̶0;Rename Sim.̶1;

  Enter the new name you desire for your Sim and click the check mark. Your Sim̵7;s name will change.

  Press ̶0;Control, Shift and C̶1; simultaneously again to bring up the cheat box at the top of the screen.

  Enter ̶0;boolprop testingcheatsenabled false̶1; and press ̶0;Enter.̶1;

  Click the ̶0;Buy Mode̶1; and then click the tombstone. Press ̶0;Delete̶1; to delete the tombstone from the Sim̵7;s home.
