Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take the time to come up with a background for your gnome character, detailing where they grew up, what sort of friends and family they have and how they came to be in their current profession.
Employ elaborate gags whenever possible, as pranks and practical jokes are a way of life for gnomes. Expect everyone to take your jokes with good grace and become confused when someone actually gets angry about a particularly nasty or over-the-top trick.
Lean towards scientific and methodical endeavors such as engineering, alchemy and building of magical constructs like golems.
Become excited about new opportunities, ideas and situations to the point of acting recklessly. Attempt to pilot a flying machine even if there is a good possibility it will crash, run headfirst into an ancient tomb to study the deadly traps inside and activate a newly discovered magical device even if you don't know what it will do.
Choose which end of the alignment axis your character leans towards to determine how your character will act and what sort of profession they would prefer. If you choose a chaotic alignment your gnome could be a drifting rogue or a ne’er-do-well always one step ahead of the local law, while lawful gnomes are more likely to be architects, wizards or lawyers.
