Be ready! Even before you enter the room, save your game and buff yourself with any force powers, stims and energy shield you might have. This is important! Don't neglect it!
Take a look around. Notice the tubes around the edges of the room? The ones that have people in them? Take Malak down to half health and you'll see. These Captive Jedi are the key to the battle. If Malak drains the life from one, he gets full health. Take the advantage away from him.
Destroy the Captive Jedi! This should be priority one! With these Captive Jedi in place, Malak is invincible. He cannot be defeated if one of these is still active because the minute he gets too low, he runs for the nearest one. Destroy them as quickly as you can!
Use Throw Lightsaber. This will destroy the Captive Jedi and deprive Malak of a free refill.
Use Force Storm. This will have the same effect as Throw Lightsaber. Either of these methods will quickly destroy the Captive Jedi and prevent Malak from sustaining himself. There are 8 Captive Jedi in all. But there is a better way...
Use Drain Life/Death Field on the Captive Jedi! This will not only destroy them and prevent Malak from using them, it will give YOU the same benefit he gets. You get full health and force points and do not incur any dark side points.
Take the fight to him! Once you have eliminated the Captive Jedi, take the battle to the dark lord. Use any force buffs and stims you have left and Critical Strike/Flurry him to his knees.
