Directions for Plinko Board

Fans of the long-running "The Price is Right" know that Plinko is a game in which round discs are dropped down a pegged board, landing in slots marked with a monetary prize. Each of the nine slots at the bottom of the Plinko board is valued "$0" to "$5,000." You win the dollar amount designated by the slot in which your disc lands. Plinko is a game of chance; you hope you win but there are no guarantees. If you want to play Plinko at home you can do so by making your own Plinko game board.

Instructions

    • 1

Use a large piece of cardboard --- the size you choose will determine the size of your Plinko board. Measure the discs you are using to drop down the Plinko board so you know how far apart to place the screws on the board. For example, if your discs are 2 inches around, place the screws or dowels about 3 inches apart.

    • 2

Paint or decorate your Plinko board. Place the world "Plinko" at the top of the game board and place your prize amounts at the bottom beneath each space.

    • 3

Stagger the pegs on your Plinko board so it will be impossible to know exactly which direction the discs will travel. Mark a dot where you want each of the screws or dowels. Push the screws or dowels through the cardboard and into the back of your Plinko board. Drop your disc onto the Plinko board to ensure your screws or dowels are placed in a good position before you set the board up for play.

    • 4

Climb to the top of the stairs behind the Plinko board. Stand behind it if it is a smaller board. Position yourself at the top of the board to drop your discs.

    • 5

Place your disc at any one of the openings at the top of the Plinko board.

    • 6

Drop your disc. Watch as it travels down the pegs and lands at the bottom of the board. The amount of your prize is determined by the slot in which your disc lands.
