Jeopardy Like Games

Jeopardy-like games are variations of the popular television show. While many are reformatted to be played online or on your computer, it is possible to play them in with multiple partners in a competitive format. In addition, Jeopardy-like games are often created by teachers looking to make classroom material more engaging and exciting.
  1. United States Game

    • This jeopardy-like game can be delivered as a PowerPoint presentation in class to help students or friends learn basic information on the United States. This game consists of five categories. Each category has five questions with a value of one through five. The questions worth five points are more difficult then those worth one. The categories for this game can be modified depending on the specific state or parts of the Unites States that you are studying. Some examples of possible categories would be Washington D.C., United States, Kentucky, Famous Kentuckians, and U.S. Flag. The player with the most correct answers is the winner.

    Quia-Andean Countries

    • While this particular Jeopardy game tests knowledge of the Andean Countries, Quia has developed a series of Jeopardy-like games that range from Science to world history and mathematics. These variations come in a similar jeopardy format and can be accessed on Quia's website. After submitting a user-name, a game board will come up with five categories and five questions for each category. For this particular version of the game, the categories are Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, Bolivia and Chile, Places and Odds and Ends. Each question is given a value of 100 through 500, based on difficulty. This game also has a two player feature, which allows you to play with friends on your computer.

    Anime Jeopardy

    • This twist on a basic Jeopardy game tests your general knowledge of anime characters and events in the history of anime. Unlike a typical Jeopardy format, this PowerPoint-based game asks a series of questions on individual slides. Instead of having you pick individual categories, the game forces you to answer questions at random, awarding points on the difficulty of each question. After you formulate an answer, click through the PowerPoint presentation to see if your answers match. The answer will be written in question format to adhere to basic Jeopardy standards.

    Animal Jeopardy Game

    • This game, designed by Kentucky teachers based in Harden County, is designed for elementary school students looking to better understand different types of animals. The five categories in this game are birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals and fish. Each category consists of five questions that vary from one point to five points, according to difficulty. Because the game is based on PowerPoint, it can be projected onto a projection screen in a classroom or on a wall in your own home.
