How to Play Wheel of Fortune on the Computer

Wheel of Fortune is a television game show which debuted in 1983 hosted by Pat Sajack and Vanna White. In this game, players must solve word puzzles with just a few letters to go on. The puzzle may be famous expressions, names of people, places, things, or colloquialisms. With each turn, you spin the wheel, possibly earning more money or risking the money you've already made--there is a bankrupt section of the wheel. The computerized version emulates the real game exactly, except that there is no host and only one level of difficulty.

Click on the game once the trial or full version has downloaded to your computer. Type in your name. Choose your avatar. Click on the wheel to begin spinning. Look at the title of the puzzle for hints to begin solving it. Guess common consonants of the alphabet such as R, S, T, L, N, C, M, P.

Buy vowels when you're stuck and need a little extra help. A and E are very common vowels and the letter O is quite common as well. A couple of vowels can help illuminate the puzzle. When you click on "Solve the puzzle," you only have 15 seconds to do so. Thus, you have to type quickly. Continue to the next round to try to win more prizes and money.
