Instructions

  1. Making the game

    • 1

Pick twenty general-information categories and work with a friend to gather 10 pieces of trivia for each category.

    • 2

      Create a table in a word-processing program.

    • 3

Type up and number the trivia questions. Remember to use complete sentences and be sure to follow the correct format.

    • 4

Type up and print out the answers to your questions. Use the numbers on each card as a reference. This will function as your answer key.

    • 5

Print the answers on cardstock and then cut out.

    • 6

On the other side of each card, write down a difficulty level of 1 to 5.

    • 7

Paint both sides of a piece of cardboard a solid color, making sure to paint 25 boxes in rows and columns of five. Each side will function as a round within the game.

    Playing the game

    • 9

Pick out five categories, and place the cards, based to the difficulty level you assigned, onto the board.

    • 10

Choose a host for the game. This person will take score and read off each question and answer.

    • 11

Allow the youngest player to select a category. Have players clap to buzz in.

    • 12

If a player gets an answer right, give her the card and allow her to choose another question.

    • 13

Tally up the difficulty level on the cards after each round for scoring. For the second round, double the scores.

    • 14

For Final Jeopardy, the host should allow players to secretly wager. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
