How to Wire a Blade CP Tail Rotor Gearbox

Radio-controlled helicopters like the Blade CP by E-flite require occasional maintenance or replacement of parts to remain in flying order. One of the parts that may need to be replaced or disconnected for maintenance is the motor on the tail rotor gearbox. To reconnect the tail motor, follow the specific wiring instructions.

Instructions

    • 1

      Unplug the tail motor wires from the 4-in-1 control unit located in the main fuselage.

    • 2

      Remove the screws holding the tail motor in the tail rotor gear housing. Remove the old motor.

      Place the new motor in the tail rotor gear housing. Reattach the screws to hold it in place.

    • 4

      Plug the tail motor wires into the 4-in-1 control unit. Plug the tail motor into the upper output slot on the control unit. The positive lead goes on top or the motor won't function.
