Instructions
Turn on the transmitter. Enable the gyro function on the radio.
Select the gain switch you want to set. Set the gain for switch A to +45 percent. Set the gain for switch B to -45 percent. This is a good starting point for the gain, and you can adjust it later as you see how the helicopter is flying.
Check that the tail rotor mixing is disabled on the transmitter, and set all offsets to zero. Connect the battery to the electronic speed control, or ESC, on the helicopter. Wait for the gyro to initialize and the LED light to come on.
Set the exponential on channel 4 to -40 percent. Check that all the connectors are properly seated and the parts of the helicopter are moving in the correct direction. Unplug the battery to the ESC and wait 30 seconds. Plug the battery in and wait for the gyro to initialize.
Center the tail rotor pitch slider and start your helicopter. As you watch the helicopter on its first flight, you can make adjustments on the transmitter by raising and lowering the gain until the tail starts to wag, to get the best setting.
