How to Do Tricks with a Low Powered RC Plane

Radio controlled airplanes are used for recreation and are controlled from the ground by a hand-held remote. Many people enter radio controlled airplane competitions to compete against other fliers. You can do several tricks with your radio-controlled airplane with little hassle. The most common tricks are the inside loop, outside loop and the roll. You don̵7;t have to be an avionics expert to perform these tricks. You can do it yourself.

Instructions

  1. The Inside Loop

    • 1

Fly your plane about 50 feet above the ground so you do not crash when you enter the loop. This will allow you to pull out of the loop if needed.

    • 2

Increase the throttle on your controller and pull the elevation stick gently to bring the plane up.

    • 3

Release the throttle once the plane has made the first half of the loop. If you leave the throttle at full speed, the plane will accelerate through the loop and into the ground.

    • 4

Bring the elevation stick back to the neutral position in order to level out the plane after the loop.

    The Roll

    • 5

Fly the plane in a straight path about 50 feet off of the ground.

    • 6

Pull the elevation stick up just a little to bring the nose up.

    • 7

Push the rudder level to the left to make the plane roll.

    • 8

Bring the elevation stick back to the neutral position once the roll has completed.

    The Outside Loop

    • 9

Fly the plane on a straight path 50 feet off of the ground.

    • 10

Release the throttle slightly so the plane starts to dive down.

    • 11

      Push the elevation stick downward.

    • 12

Pull the elevation stick up and push the throttle up to perform the loop.

    • 13

Release both of the sticks once the loop has completed.
