Research different ground schools offering to help you get your pilot̵7;s license. Check websites, read aviation magazines and talk to anyone you may know that has already completed ground school and obtained a pilot̵7;s license.
Make a note of what each ground school purports to offer you. Check out the costs involved; they can vary substantially. For example, if you want to fast-track the examination, because you want your pilot̵7;s license quickly, expect to pay more.
Make a short list of the ground schools in which you are interested. Call each one and ask questions about the courses, so you get a feel as to how professional and efficient they are. Ask the school for their first-time pass rate; this gives you an indication of the quality of the training. Good ground schools will be pleased to inform you of their pass rate, those that don̵7;t have a good pass rate are likely to try and get around the question. Verify they can back up their claims.
Visit the ground schools personally and compare the facilities. Talk to other pilots at the ground school to find out their thoughts and how they are progressing. Ask if they are pleased with the level and professionalism of the training provided.
Select the ground school of your choice. Call to ascertain the ground school course dates and start attending so you can get your pilot̵7;s license.
