Instructions
Confirm the helicopter is fully charged by plugging the charging wire on the remote control into the charging input on the side of the helicopter. Insert the end of the charging wire into the slot marked "CHG." The green light on the remote control will change to red when the helicopter is charging. The red light will disappear when the charging is complete. Charging can take up to 40 to 50 minutes.
Confirm the helicopter is turned on. The "On/Off" switch is located on the side of the helicopter near the charging input. Move the switch to the "On" position.
Make sure there is nothing in the way of the infrared eye, such as stickers or dirt, on the front of the helicopter. If the eye is obstructed, the helicopter cannot receive the signal from the remote control and will not work. Remove any obstruction from the helicopter.
Replace the batteries in the remote control. The battery compartment is on the back of the remote control. Using a small screwdriver, remove the screw holding the lid into place and slide the lid off the remote control. The remote takes 6 AA batteries; change all of them.
Confirm the frequency on the remote control and the helicopter is the same. There is a switch on the front of the remote and the side of the helicopter with three different frequency options. Make sure the frequency selected on the helicopter is the same as the frequency selected on the remote control.
Turn off the helicopter and let it sit for at least an hour if the motor has over-heated. The motor will not work if too hot to protect it. Let the motor cool down and turn it back on.
