How to Replace the Map Light on Your Cessna 172

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is the best-selling general aviation aircraft in history. The iconic single-engine, high-wing plane has flown more miles than other private aircraft in the world. In addition, more pilots of today took their first turn at the controls in a 172 than in any other plane. In production for 55 years, the 172 seats a pilot and three passengers. Its 160-horsepower four-cylinder Lycoming engine produces a cruise speed of 140 miles per hour with a maximum range of 800 miles. The Cessna 172 map light contains a standard white bulb for map reading and a non-glare red bulb for instrument illumination.
