How to Bind an AR6000 Receiver

The Spektrum AR6000 is a 6-channel DSM2 remote-controlled radio receiver, designed for RC airplanes and helicopters. The AR6000 features compatibly with DSM2 Spektrum and JR brand radio transmitters. To pair the AR6000 with a compatible radio transmitter, the operator must perform a process known as "binding." The process of binding will allow only the paired receiver to communicate with intended radio transmitter, which reduces the chances of interference from other transmitters in flying range.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the transmitter and receiver.

    • 2

Connect the supplied bind plug to the receiver's "BAT" port. If the aircraft features a small battery pack for the receiver, disconnect the battery pack from the receiver's "BAT" port and reconnect the battery plug to one of the available 3-pin channel ports on the receiver.

    • 3

Turn on the receiver and wait for the yellow-colored receiver LED to flash.

    • 4

Place the transmitter controls in the appropriate failsafe positions; refer to the documentation supplied with your specific transmitter to perform this task, if necessary.

    • 5

Hold the "BIND" button, located at the rear of the transmitter. While holding the "BIND" button, switch on the transmitter. Once the "BIND" button stops flashing, release the button and remove the bind plug from the receiver.

    • 6

Test the transmitter controls to verify proper servo operation. Turn off the transmitter and verify the servo controls revert to the appropriate failsafe positions.

    • 7

Turn off the radio receiver and relocate the receiver battery pack plug to the "BAT" port on the receiver, if necessary.
