How to Bind the DSM2 Receiver to the Vapor

The ParkZone Etomic Vapor is an electric "ultra-micro" radio-controlled aircraft that features a proportional rudder, elevator and throttle controls, a 3.7-volt Li-Po battery and a supplied battery charger. The "Bind-N-Fly" version of the Vapor requires a DSM2-compatible radio transmitter, while the "Ready-To-Run" version includes a transmitter. Binding the ParkZone Vapor will allow the radio transmitter to communicate with the aircraft's receiver. You must repeat the binding process after changing or replacing the radio receiver or transmitter.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the flight battery from the electronic speed control module.

    • 2

Install four AA batteries into the bottom base of the supplied battery charger. Insert the flight battery into the charging slot of the charger, with the label of the battery facing the front of the charger.

    • 3

Remove the battery from the charger when the LED indicator begins to flash green.

    • 4

Examine the transmitter adjustment controls. Set the "TH" and "ST" trim controls to the "Neutral" position. Make sure the "ATV" adjustment does not surpass "100%" when binding the receiver and transmitter together.

    • 5

Install four AA batteries into the transmitter. Refer to the documentation supplied with the transmitter for specific instructions to place the device in "bind" mode.

    • 6

Install the flight battery into the aircraft and wait for the LED indicator on the aircraft's receiver to blink.

    • 7

Turn on the transmitter. Place the transmitter in "bind" mode, in accordance with the device's supplied documentation. Certain "auto-bind" transmitters on the market will automatically perform the binding process after detecting the receiver.

    • 8

Watch the LED indicator on the aircraft's receiver. The binding process will complete after the aircraft's receiver LED stops flashing and lights up solid, after five seconds.
