Difference Between Walkera 60 & 68

Walkera is a company based in the Panyu District of Guangzhou City, China. Its operations focus on designing and manufacturing aeronautic devices. The Walkera 60 and 68 remote-controlled helicopters are similar models with subtle differences in size, features and equipment.
  1. Dimensions

    • The main rotor for a Walkera 60 remote controlled helicopter is 24.8 inches in diameter, while the Walkera 68's main rotor is 24.5 inches in diameter. The Walkera 60 tail rotor is 5.7 inches in diameter, whereas the Walkera 68 tail rotor is 5.3 inches in diameter. Overall length for the Walkera 60 is 23.6 inches, while the Walkera 68 has a length of 23.2 inches.

    Construction

    • The Walkera 60 has a WK-B20A speed controller and a 380PF drive system. This model uses a RX-701 receiver, a WK-0701 transmitter and a WK-G011 gyro. A Walkera 68 uses a WTS-30A-01 speed controller and a WK-WS-26-001 drive system. The 68 helicopter has a RX-PCM-701 receiver, a WK-PCM-0701 transmitter and a WK-G007 gyro. Electricity for these models is provided by an 11.1-volt, lithium-ion polymer battery. The battery for the 60 has a capacity of 1,200 milliampere hours, while the 68 has a capacity of 1,250.

    Weight and Servos

    • Walkera 60 remote control helicopters weigh between 1.26 and 1.37 lbs. while the 68 helicopter weighs between 1.32 and 1.40 lbs. The servo for the Walkera 60 weighs 0.3 oz., providing 12 ounce-inches of torque at a speed of 0.11 second per 60 degrees. Dimensions for this servo measure 0.94 inches tall, 0.45 inches wide and 0.89 inches in length. A 68 model has a servo that weighs 0.32 oz. and provides 15 ounce-inches of torque at a speed of 0.12 seconds per 60 degrees. The dimensions of this servo are 0.94 inches in height, 0.46 inches wide and 0.89 inches long.

    Features

    • Walkera 60 and 68 miniature remote control helicopters feature similar seven-channel transmitters with adjustable throttle curve, PIT parameters and servo exponential functions. The 60 uses a CCPM mixing control system, while the 68 has a NOR system. Both enable the operator to perform three-dimensional moves such as inverted flights, swooping and rolls. The tail rotors for the two helicopters are impelled via belt. The Walkera 68 incorporates a bevel wheel design to conflate the motor gear and main gear, while the Walkera 60 does not.
