How to Remove a Tail Boom Step-by-Step

Remote controlled helicopters are made up of a variety of different components, including the tail boom. Located on the back of the helicopter, it is the long arm that runs from the back of the main body and contains a stabilizing rotor. When it's necessary to work on the helicopter, you often have to remove the tail boom to access other components. Removing the tail boom takes just a few minutes.
