Open the back panel of the radio control box and insert the batteries, lining up positive to positive and negative to negative connections. Insert the helicopter batteries into the small battery compartment located either under the main body, or in the side of the main body, depending on the model.
Turn the power to the helicopter and control box on. Test the controls by pushing the right stick forward slightly. Watch for the main rotors to begin to turn. Push the left stick to the right slightly to watch the tail rotors spin slightly. To take off, push the right stick up firmly while pushing the left stick to the right to keep the Air Hog helicopter from spinning underneath the main rotors. This is the trim adjustment.
Lift the helicopter off and push the right stick forward to make the helicopter fly forward. Turn the helicopter by pushing the left stick further to the right for a right turn, or back to the left for left turns. to hover, bring the right and left stick back and forth to make the helicopter begin to rock back and forth. Make gradual adjustments until the helicopter is hovering and no longer rocking back and forth.
Press the camera button on the control box of the Hawk Eye helicopter to take aerial videos over objects you want photoed during the flight. Release the button to stop the video recording. The Hawk Eye is equipped with a small video camera that captures videos at 320-by-240 pixels, or snaps still photos at 640-by-480 pixels. Press and release the button to snap stills.
Attach the USB key to the Hawk Eye and then plug the USB hub into your computer to download video and photos from the Hawk Eye to the computer for viewing and sharing.
