Blade Cx2 Instructions

Helicopters can fly in any direction and even hover in place. Model helicopters operate in the same fashion, regulating air flow by minor changes in the propellers' orientation. You can control your Blade Cx2 as it flies through the air with the transmitter that came with your model helicopter.

Instructions

    • 1

Chose a wide open area to fly your Blade Cx2. If indoors, select an area with at least an 8-foot clearance to the ceiling and 20 feet by 20 feet of floor space.

    • 2

Remove the battery and battery charger that came with your Blade Cx2 from the packaging. Plug the battery charger into a wall outlet. Plug the cylinder at the other end of your battery charger into the battery. Verify that the battery is charging by locating the glowing green LED on your charger.

    • 3

Connect the battery to your Blade Cx2. Attach the alligator clip at the end of the black cable to the lead on the underside of your battery marked negative ("-.") Attach the alligator clip at the end of the red cable to the other lead marked positive ("+").

    • 4

Slide the battery inside its slot on the underside of your Cx2. Close the lid and latch it to keep the battery secure.

    • 5

Retrieve your Blade Cx2's remote control transmitter from its packaging. Flip it upside down and unlatch the battery case. Install 4 AA batteries into your transmitter and latch the battery case shut.

    • 6

Flip your transmitter back over so that the control knobs are facing you. Gently pull the left knob, called the throttle, towards the antenna at the top of your transmitter. Your Blade Cx2's propeller will start to spin and the model helicopter will lift off the ground.

    • 7

Keep two fingers on the throttle to hold your Blade Cx2 steady. Use your other hand to move the right stick, called the aileron. Push the aileron towards your transmitter's antenna to move your Blade Cx2 forward in the air. Push the aileron to the left or right to move your Blade Cx2 left or right.

    • 8

Pull back gently on the throttle to lower your Blade Cx2 to the ground. Verify the throttle is turned as far down as it will go. Verify the blades on your Cx2 have stopped moving before retrieving your model helicopter.
