Radio Interchangeability
Hobbyzone states that radio interchangeability is a feature. You will be able to take the radio system out of the airplane, and use it on another airplane. This is a cost-saving feature. You can have two or three airplanes but only need one radio system.
Battery Charging and Preflight.
Before you fly the airplane for the first time, charge the battery fully. A little trick is to plug the battery in the charger first. While the battery is charging, you can assemble the airplane. That way, you are not wasting time waiting for the battery to charge. After the battery is charged, run a preflight inspection. This includes moving the joysticks on your transmitter and visually verifying the control surfaces are moving.
Two Flight Configurations
Two flight configurations are available: High Rate and Low Rate. This controls the sensitivity of the control surfaces to the joystick input from the transmitter. Practice on Low Rate first, until you get a "feel" for the airplane. Later, as you progress, switch over to High Rate. High Rate makes the airplane very sensitive to inputs, but tight rolls, loops and other maneuvers are possible.
Light Wind Flying
The Aerobird Swift is a very light airplane. Strong winds can take it or make it lose control. For this reason, it should be flown in light winds only. Throw a little bit of grass over your head. If the grass is blown more than 4 feet away from you, the wind is too strong. You have to exercise good judgment when it comes to wind and flying.
