Connecticut Flight Academy
Connecticut Flight Academy (CFA) in Hartford, Connecticut has certified and experienced instructors who train students to earn their private pilot, instrument, commercial, certified flight instructor, multi-engine and commercial pilot licenses. Several CFA instructors have even earned the classification of "Gold Seal Instructor" from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). CFA graduates private pilots in as little as three months. The school collaborated with several banks to offer flight-training financing to those students who need it. For dedicated students, CFA assists in the job-placement process as well.
Premier Flight Center
Premier Flight Center also in Hartford, Connecticut has trained pilots for over 20 years. They employ ten certified instructors and have nine airplanes available for students. In addition to the courses and certifications available at Connecticut Flight Academy, Premier Flight Academy also offers sport pilot certificates, transport pilot certification and ground school, which prepares students to pass the FAA written exam for licensure as a private pilot. Premier Flight Center partnered with Utah Valley University to offer an alternative route to earning a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation. Students can complete the coursework online and the required flight skills at the flight center.

Three Wing Flying Service also in Stratford, Connecticut uses Sikorsky Memorial Airport for its training. Three Wing Flying Service provides coursework in aircraft maintenance, ground services and fuel, along with pilot training and certification. Eleven instructors and six aircraft are available for student use. Students at Three Wing flight school earn their private pilot license, transport pilot certification, commercial pilot license and flight instructor certification -- all on single-engine aircraft only.

Arrow Aviation in Danbury, Connecticut conducts all their training out of Danbury Municipal Airport. Flight students earn a private pilot's license, wings' training, refresher training, certified flight instructor training, multi-engine rating, instrument rating, commercial pilot certification and transport pilot certification. Arrow Aviation is also the only area school to offer both training for sport-pilot certification and rental of sport aircraft. Sport pilots require 20 fewer hours of flight-training time prior to certification, which can be very helpful to a student's wallet.
