How to Display Model Airplane Engines

Model planes have been the hobby of both kids and adults alike since airplanes were invented, according to RC Model Airplanes. The small replicas of the huge flying machines can be both aesthetic, with intricate detail and perfectly painted exteriors, and practical, with the ability to fly either long or short distances. However, whether able to soar or not, most hobbyists want to display their small planes. While many are handmade, little parts, such as the engines, are manufactured and later purchased by hobbyists. The small engines can be removed from the plane and displayed, whether for decoration or practical purposes.

Paint the wood block with varnish or wood stain, if you wish. Dry it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 2

    • 3

Place screws in the corresponding holes in the base and, using the drill, screw them in securely.

    • 4

Place the model engine in the mount, in the designated slots, making sure it is sitting flush with the arms.

    • 5

Insert small bolts in the required holes of the engine, where it joins to the mount. Screw them in tight.

    • 6

Place a fitted glass box over the wood, if desired.
