How to Replace Wings on a Flytech Dragonfly

The FlyTech "Dragonfly" by WowWee is a radio control flyer designed with two sets of wings that mimic the anatomy and actual flying style of real dragonflies. Typically, a person replaces the wings if one or both sets break or to customize the appearance of the flyer with different wing patterns. Whatever your reason for replacing the wings on your Dragonfly, you won't need any tools to remove the old wings and replace them with new ones.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the "Power" switch to the "Off" position on your flyer. Turn off the controller.

    • 2

Hold the wing frame that one set of wings attached to with one hand. Slide the wing rods carefully from the frame.

    • 3

Pull the wings from where they attach to a hook on the flyer. Set the wings aside.

    • 4

Repeat the removal process with the other set of wings. Dispose of the wings.

    • 5

Attach a new set of wings to the flyer -- hooking the wings near the back and sliding the rods into the frame. Repeat with the other set of wings.

    • 6

Turn on your flyer and controller. Try to fly the Dragonfly. If it can't fly, turn off both units, remove and switch the wings and try again.
