Input Power Requirements
The motor's input voltage requirement is a battery delivering at least 7.4 volts. For high speed applications, the battery has to deliver 11.4 volts. The capacity, or output amperage, of the battery has to be from 700 milliamp hours to 1,250 milliamp hours. These are common figures, and a variety of batteries will accomplish these numbers. The maximum current draw of the motor is 10 amps.
Thrust
With a propeller attached, the thrust of the motor is anywhere from 14.1 oz. to 23.4 oz. This varies on how fast you are spinning the motor, and the type of propeller. You will throttle up for ascending the airplane and throttle down when putting the airplane in a dive situation.
Outside Dimensions and Weight
The length of the motor is 28 millimeters, with a diameter of 28 millimeters. The shaft diameter is 3 millimeters. The weight is 41 grams. This is useful information for a designer, since the weight and size factors must be accounted for in the airplane's lifting capacity. This motor is designed for airplanes that weigh up to 26 oz. For larger airplanes, this motor is too small.
