IFO R/C Plane Types

The IFO series of model airplanes, manufactured by Wild RC, are part kite and part airplane. Designed by aeronautical engineer Dan Kreigh, these airplanes are designed for indoor or outdoor flying. Because of their unique design, the airplanes are capable of maneuvers not possible with traditional fixed-wing aircraft.

Mini IFO
- The Mini IFO is designed specifically for slow-speed flight. It folds flat so it fits inside a suitcase and has an all-carbon composite frame that can take hard landings without breaking. It can do a loop in a three-foot diameter and also hover. Its requires a takeoff and landing distance of only 5 feet. This airplane is designed for living room and indoor flying due to its tight turning radius.
T-IFO
- The T-IFO, or Trainer IFO, is designed for training purposes. Using carbon-composite rods and heavy-duty rip stop nylon, it can take hard landings without breaking apart. It is similar in nature to the Mini-IFO, but is slightly larger and more rugged. It is not designed for highly aerobatic maneuvers, but rather provides gentle glides and smooth landings.
IFO Mark 3
- The IFO Mark 3 is a full-size flying model aircraft capable of indoor or outdoor flying. It has a wingspan of about 3 feet and a length of about 2 feet. This airplane can do highly acrobatic maneuvers and be flown in combat-like completions with other IFO Mark 3s. It can take off vertically and hover. It can also do a full loop in a 3-foot diameter and take off on an 8-foot runway.
