Instructions

    • 1

Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the battery door located on the back of the transmitter. Install the six AA batteries into the battery case. Make sure the batteries are properly installed by following the polarity shown inside the case. Screw the battery door back onto the transmitter once the batteries are installed.

    • 2

Slide the cover on the middle of the transmitter downward. This will expose the charging plug to the helicopter. Be gentle when handling these wires. Do not pull or yank on them too hard. This will cause them to become dislodged.

    • 3

Locate the socket to the charging plug on the Air Hog helicopter. If the nose of the helicopter is facing toward you, it will be on the left hand side of the device.

    • 4

Plug the charger into the socket on the helicopter. The LED light on the transmitter will turn green when the device is properly plugged in and charging. The battery for the helicopter should take about 20 minutes to charge. Once the helicopter is charged the LED light will turn off.

    • 5

Turn the power switch on for the helicopter and the transmitter. The on/off switch on the helicopter is located near the plug-in socket on the left side of the device. The power switch on the transmitter is directly in the middle of the unit.

    • 6

Place the helicopter on a flat surface prior to lifting off. If it is placed on an uneven surface it may not lift off properly. Push the throttle up slowly to raise the helicopter off the ground. Do not go higher than three feet. Locate the trim button on the transmitter. It will be on the right side of the transmitter underneath the direction stick.

    • 7

Push the left side of the trim button repeatedly while the helicopter is turning clockwise. Do this until the helicopter is flying straight. If the plane is turning in a counter clockwise direction push the right side of the trim repeatedly until it flies straight. This is known as trimming the helicopter.

    • 8

Focus on the helicopter when flying the device. Gently move the throttle up and down to maneuver the helicopter. The throttle is located on the left side of the transmitter. If the helicopter begins to descend give a little bit of throttle. If it ascends too much reduce the throttle. Use the direction stick located on the right side of the transmitter to move the plane from left to right.

    • 9

Pull down on the throttle when you are ready to land the helicopter. Do this slowly and gently to prevent the helicopter from crashing. Once the helicopter has landed, plug the charger into the socket for future flying time.
