Beechcraft 24R Sierra Specs

The Beechcraft A24 Sierra is the retractable-landing-gear version of the Beechcraft A23, also referred to as the Beechcraft Musketeer. The Beechcraft Sierra is a single-engine, low-wing-design aircraft that seats four people including the pilot. There are four versions of the Beechcraft A24 that data is available for.
  1. Beech A24R Sierra 200

    • This version of the Beechcraft Sierra has a 200 hp engine installed, has a maximum speed of 170 miles per hour and cruising speed of 162 miles per hour. The stalling speed for this aircraft with its flaps fully extended is 58 miles per hour. This version has a useful payload of 787 pounds and has a range of 704 nautical miles. On takeoff it requires 1100 feet of runway and upon landing requires 760 feet for a full rollout.

    Beech B24R Sierra 200

    • This version of the Beechcraft Sierra is equipped with a 200 hp motor and has a maximum speed of 161 miles per hour, with a cruising speed set at 158 miles per hour. With the aircraft's flaps fully extended this aircraft's stalling speed is 63 miles per hour. Useful payload on this version is 727 pounds and has a range of 591 nautical miles. On takeoff this aircraft requires 1169 feet of runway to become airborne and upon landing requires a rollout distance of 803 feet.

    Beech C-24R Sierra 200 (Prior to 1978)

    • Again in this version a 200 hp motor is installed with a maximum speed of 167 miles per hour coupled with its cruising speed of 158 miles per hour. With flaps in the down configuration this aircraft will stall out at 69 miles per hour. This aircraft's useful payload is 712 pounds, and it has a range of 647 nautical miles. This aircraft will require a takeoff roll of 1063 feet and requires a distance of 816 feet on its landing roll.

    Beech C24R Sierra 200 (1978 &Later)

    • Like all of her sister versions a 200 hp motor pulls this Beechcraft through the air reaching a maximum speed of 167 miles per hour along with a cruising speed of 158 miles per hour. This aircraft will stall out at 69 miles per hour with the flaps in the fully down configuration. Like previous version, this aircraft has a useful payload of 712 pounds with a range of 647 nautical miles. The distances required for takeoff and landing roll are identical to the pre-1978 version.
