Displacement
The IO--360 has a displacement of 360 inches. It has a 4.4-inch diameter bore along with a 3.875-inch stroke. The engine weighs roughly 330 pounds without any accessories, and is 22 inches high, 31 inches wide and 34 inches long.
Lubrication System
During idle, the normal operating oil pressure is 10 pounds per square inch while during operation the oil pressure has a range between 30 and 60 pounds per square inch. During take off the oil must reach a minimum temperature of 75°F with a maximum allowable temperature during any flight condition of 240°F.
Operating Temperatures
The maximum cylinder head temperature recommendation is set at 380°F. The maximum cylinder head temperature for any flight condition is set at 460°F.
