     Find a large field that suits model airplane flying well. Look for large clearings and areas with few trees or other tall obstacles.

     Begin sketching out the layout your aircraft field. Design crisscrossing runways to provide takeoff and landing points from many different directions.

     Put your lawnmower on the lowest setting and cut a straight path for a runway, positioned according to your design. Use the water soluble paint to mark off the edges of the runway.
