T-Rex 450 Specs

The Align Corporation is a maker of a variety of radio-controlled helicopters, known as the T-Rex series. The T-Rex 450 is a micro helicopter that can be flown either indoors or outdoors in areas such as parks, fields or beaches. The 450 was designed for flight stability and operating precision, and features thick main blade grip arms to protect the helicopter in the event of a crash.
  1. Dimensions

    • The T-Rex 450 measures 643 millimeters long and 228 millimeters high. Without a power system, the helicopter weights 445 grams; with the power system installed, the weight totals approximately 770 grams. The main rotor measures 158 millimeters in diameter, and the tail rotor measures 158 millimeters. The helicopter uses a 134T motor drive gear, 150T main drive gear, 25T tail and 106T autorotation tail drive gear.

    Features

    • The T-Rex 450 features a redesigned frame structure and new motor mount. The battery mount has also been improved from previous versions. It is now designed to eliminate battery movement that may cause flight instability. A high rigidity anti-rotation guide, wide and thick main blade grips and redesigned servo screw retainer are used. The integrated ends of the tail boom support rods help to support the helicopter in a crash.

    Items Included and Required

    • In the box of the T-Rex 450 Sport Kit Set is one brushless motor, three metal gear digital servos, one regular digital servo, a set of carbon blades and a head lock gyro. To complete the assembly, a six-channel or higher receiver and transmitter is required, as well as one pitch gauge and an 11.1 volt 3S Li-Po battery, ranging from 2,000 to 2,200 milliamperes per hour (mAh).
