Things You'll Need
Instructions
Locate the correct center of gravity. Your build plans or instructions included with your model will show at what point under the wings the plane should balance. If you don't have the instructions with you, use a point about 1/3 back from the leading edge of the wings.
Place your fingers under each wing at the center of gravity point, close to the fuselage. Lift the model and allow it to balance on your fingertips. Note the angle of the plane from nose to tail.
Place small amounts of modeling clay or fishing weights in the fuselage where needed until the plane balances with the nose level or pointing slightly toward the ground. Make sure to secure the weight you add so that it won't move during flight and upset the balance.
Loop some fishing line around the nose and tail to check the roll balance from wingtip to wingtip. Suspend the plane from the loops and add any weight as needed to the wings until they are level.
