Find the RC airplane's center of gravity. If the airplane has a stick fuselage, tape the straw lengthwise without crushing it as close to the center of gravity as possible.
Glue the straw between two pieces of wooden dowel and let dry, if the airplane has a shaped fuselage. Place this on the bottom side of the fuselage lengthwise and secure it with rubber bands or zip ties around the fuselage, making sure not to crush the straw or the fuselage.
Tape the toothpick or three- to four-inch piece of wooden skewer to one-half of the plastic Easter egg. Tape so the egg will be hanging at a slant, with the rear hanging lower than the front. Do not tape the egg shut.
Open the plastic egg and fill it with flour or talcum powder, and then snap shut. Slide the egg mount (toothpick or skewer taped to the egg) into the front end of the straw.
Launch the RC aircraft and maintain a gentle level or nose-up attitude. Air flow will contribute in keeping the egg from sliding out of the straw. When ready to release, push nose over in a steep nose-down attitude and reduce the throttle. The egg should slide out of the straw mount and separate on impact.
