How to Tell Male and Female Society Finches

The society finch is a small, social, domestic bird that is not found in the wild. Visual identification of male (cock) and female (hen) society finches is difficult since the coloring is the same in both sexes. Other coloring may include fawn and white or chocolate, black, gray and chestnut with white areas.
