Instructions

    • 1

Select an old Frisbee or a shallow pan with a slight lip. Paint the container a bright orange if you wish. This makes an attractive feeder, but orioles are not particular and will visit your feeder whether you paint it or not.

    • 2

Drill three ¼-inch holes at equal distances around the rim of the container.

    • 3

Cut three 10-inch sections of decorative rope. Knot the ends of the pieces of rope. Thread a section of rope through the hole on the container so the knot remains on the underside. Repeat with all ropes.

    • 4

Gather the ends of the ropes above the container and tie into a knot.

    • 5

Cut a fresh orange into quarters and place it on the feeder.

    • 6

Hang it from a tree branch or a plant hook in an area near bushes or trees to provide shelter for orioles.
