Instructions

    • 1

Plant tubular red flowers. Hummers love the nectar and will be drawn to the red color.

    • 2

Hang up a red feeder. Make your own solution for the feeder at home. Many people say the red dye in the store bought solutions are bad for the humming bird. As long as your feeder as some red colored parts on it you don't need red solution in your feeder. Change the solution weekly. Wash the feeder weekly and rinse well. Mold can grow in it and make the little hummers sick.

      Solution Recipe:
      4 cups water
      1 cup white table sugar
Heat on medium in pan until fully dissolved
      Let cool
      Fill feeder
Keep the rest in a capped bottle in the refrigerator
